The "hot springs" have all been privatized. The river is beautiful though, not too cold (end of July) and there are tons of places to wade in or small swimming spots. Not too deep, usually about knee deep or less. Wild blackberries grow along some parts of the river bank, but also there is stinging nettle so be careful!! Pack out what you pack in!! There are tons of trash cans and a dumpster, but no potable water source at the campsite. It's $15 a night and $7 per extra vehicle, self pay, with a 14 day maximum stay. No discount for staying more than a few nights. Campfires are allowed with permits. None of the sites could fit an RV trailer with a vehicle or any RV larger than a Class C.
Love it here, very peaceful. I haven’t camped here, but I have a cabin nearby, so I come here sometimes to have lunch with the fam…enjoy!
Great place my friend took me like 2 weeks ago so we decided to go with some more friends this time beautiful scenery, BBQ pits and some nice river action also not too bit of a spot but it doesn't seem to be packed most of the time
If you have small children and would like a camping experience this is a great place. The river along the campground is very calm so Littles can cool off without worry. Vault toilets and BBQ grills at some sites while all have fire pits. The negatives for me is that it is right along a highway so you hear diesels in the morning and can hear and see cars regularly pass by. There are also houses nearby so if you walk away from the campground(which is small) then you end up in a backyard of a locals house. There is also no phone service. For having no service you'd expect a bit more seclusion but you don't feel as if you're far away in the woods. Again, if you're a single mom that wants to give your kids a camping experience, it's perfect and safe but if you're used to being a bit more far o
We were out there last summer. nice little campground right off the road, if you're driving to fast you'll miss it. Overall everything was good but I had some expectations that weren't met but that was just me. For some reason I though we'd be able to swim in the creek but the water is very shallow; all we could do was sit on the rocks. Watch out for the meat bees they're everywhere. Self pay, no showers, no running water (besides the creek) quiet. It was nice to hear the water flowing at night and the critters near by very relaxing and soothing. Pack what you need there's a small shop up the road, a bit pricey but will do in case of an emergency. There is dirt everywhere, but then again your camping so... Would definitely go again probably just for the hike, it's a good place to disconnec
