Laurel Fork Campground

We didn’t stay at the campground, but we did park there to access the Laurel Fork Trail. It was a nice backpacking outing for my teenage daughter and her friend. A few parking spots at the trailhead in the back of the campground. Vaulted toilet and trash available at the trailhead. Nice, lightly used trail with several established sites along the way to use. I think it’s a good beginners backpacking spot.

This is our favorite getaway place the campground is always well kept. We enjoy making tons of memories here.

It's a beautiful location, and well kept by the rangers and volunteers. I will definitely be back there in 2 days to experience the joy of nature once again.

Great rural campground at intersection of laurel fork north and south wilderness

This used to be a great place to get away. Quiet, secluded. Now its full of RV's and generators that run all night long. It's become a horrible place. Terrible "weekend" camping trip. I won't ever be back. The glampers can have it. I want to add that a person cannot reserve a site. It is posted you HAVE TO occupy your site within 30 minutes. Not 24 hours. It's a self pay campground. My husband and I worked so hard to get away, it was supposed to be a healing trip due to both of us losing a parent last year. We were verbally attacked and threatened over a site that had been vacant for 24 hours. That is not what we worked so hard for. The glampers can have it. I'm done.
