Laughing Horse Lodge

My husband enjoyed our small, simple, room. The lack of television and spotty internet service helped us to relax and focus on each other and the beautiful area. We purchased a package and were so excited to have delicious food for both breakfast and dinner. We were very pleased with the restaurant food and its friendly service. We hope to come stay again next year.

We enjoyed a delightful visit to the Laughing Horse Lodge, beginning with a lovely welcome by two well-behaved and friendly golden retrievers. Our room was very clean and cozy with wood paneling, flooring and ceiling. Comfortable bed and quiet allowed us to sleep well. The highlight of our stay was the incredible dinner served in the flowering garden. Imaginatively and expertly prepared food and reasonably priced wine list were served by the friendly staff. Breakfast began with coffee and scones in the garden followed by delicious omelets prepared after we were seated. Truly our favorite stay in Montana. Thank you, Kathleen, for creating such a treat for your guests!

Life got too busy, and our last visit was Sep 05, 2011. ||Kathleen is an excellent Chef and host. The food and service were outstanding, and the staff were friendly and hospitable. LHL and its customers are dog-friendly. Our 16-year-old Karelian Bear Dog loves the atmosphere.||The rooms had gone through upgrades since our last visit.||I would not change any of it. ||Keep up the excellent work!||V/R||Ed and Catherine (Great Falls, MT)

I highly recommend this unique lodge in Swan Lake Montana. It is as described rustic and charming with a beautiful flower garden in the open courtyard. The chef/owner is terrific, the food delicious. With 8 cabins the service is very personal.

This lodge and restaurant is a jewel in the Swan Valley, MT. Staying here was a therapeutic retreat with it's warm and inviting atmosphere and host. The food was gourmet and delicious. The room was comfortable and clean. We loved the enclosed garden space with its art, flowers, birds and dogs. Such a delightful stay! We look forward to returning.
