About Larry Bruce Gardens
Guest Houses and Southern Sunday Buffet
Customer Reviews
We discovered Larry Bruce Gardens through the adjacent Airbnb cabins. The restaurant was packed since it was only open on Sunday from 12-1. Readers wanting to dine at the restaurant should ensure to have a reservation due to the limited seating and demand. The live bluegrass was wonderful and we loved dining at a family operated business. My husband couldn’t get enough of the deviled eggs. Everything was great.
You know what they say.. All good things must come to an end. Larry Bruce Gardens is no exception. After years of serving food and a great atmosphere, they are closing for good. We came the last day of operation. The food was good, however, the atmosphere is what makes it feel like home.
My wife read about Larry Bruce Gardens a few years ago, but we had never been able to go. An opportunity came that allowed us to go and finally eat at the restaurant that we have heard so many good things about. The food was served buffet style. It started with a great salad bar, then a vegetable bar (with lots of homegrown vegetables), and then to the meat, which was brisket and sausage. We really loved the food and also visiting with people who eat there regularly. Highly recommend to anyone in the area or who like us, drove the 2 hours to get there.
You have to experience this! The buffet is amazing! We had some of everything! The seasonings take every dish to new levels of yumminess! That was some of the best chicken and dressing I have ever eaten! The live bluegrass gospel music was a delight and very anointed! Very welcoming atmosphere and eclectic decor has one gazing in wonder all around to see the unusual and delightful sights inside the restaurant! Very well done and an unusual talent to the cooking and menue choices as well as the decor and setups! High recommendations, we're giving the experience 6 stars! The cabin we stayed in was so cool as well. Everything we needed! Thank you all for an amazing stay!
This place was exceptional! If I could eat here every weekend I totally would! Sadly, I don’t live in the area. The interior was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Lots of different levels, different designs and decor, and very eclectic: almost Hogwarts feeling in a roundabout way. Then throw in some live music with a bluegrass band and I felt like I was at Silver Dollar City. It was an almost surreal experience! Upon entering for the Sunday lunch, you find your name at your table. You then can grab your own pitcher of tea for the table or even make your own coffee. Then when those doors open for the buffet you better watch out! It’s like a heard of cattle running! There are all kinds of delicious things on it. And for the most part, it’s all farm to table. The dressings were divine, as were
