Great little old-school USFS campground, right off the highway, tucked into the evergreens. But what makes this (and the other one nearby) special is, it is open even in winter. The catch? The road is not plowed, and the campground is not maintained in winter. But also no fees in winter, so take care of it, clean up after yourself, and let the USFS know you appreciate having open campgrounds even in winter. If you can get off of the plowed highway and the snow isn't too deep, you have a place to winter camp. That's a pretty rare thing in the PNW!
Very awesome beautiful place if you want a peaceful place to camp this is definitely the place to be.
Very nice until I got harassed by the forest rangers there.
Spring and summer storms have damaged it so badly that it is closed.
