I've been to this trailer park campground dozens of times and each time it ends up making my skin crawl. The smell of sulphur water makes you want to puke. The water is too dirty to even try to swim in the lake. The people are scary and rude with their screaming and yelling and swearing. The Trump flags are deeply unsettling. Making it unsafe for people who aren't White Christians. There are just random children running around everywhere. I have been told multiple times to make sure all the doors are locked at all times. ||You see people who are clearly using meth or crack, with all their teeth all discolored, rotten, and missing, looking like skeletons with their skin barely hanging onto their bodies. I would say it would be a great place to go for a haunted house kind of spooky Halloween
Very nice campground! Has a very nice swimming pool with a nice playground for the kids. Random events are always happening at the campground, some events have bands which are always rocking! Cabins are available to rent, very simple and homey cabins. Definitely a nice place to get away for the weekend and meet some nice campers
This campground caters to its seasonal campers. We were there for two nights and were assigned a spot among seasonal campers--with permanent decks, leanto's over their camper etc. First, they take only cash/checks (they should have mentioned that on the phone when we reserved)--so FYI on that. We found out too late that "quiet time" is 11 pm for Friday night and Midnight for Saturday. Drinking and "hooting" around the campfire appears to be the mainstay of the entertainment. We have no idea where the "hooting" comes from but it's a constant group activity--it's like a bunch of wolves or coyotes responding to one another! The good news is at midnight they did quiet down. But there was constant loud music, hooting and loud conversations both nights--and constant barking dogs next doo
Sense of community, friendly folks, well cared for, well managed by on site owners. Enough amenities to cover the rough spots but not swamped in commercialization; off the beaten path just enough but a short distance to more yet on the outskirts of the Missisquoi National Wildlife Reservation. Not being a camping buff myself my only criticism might not offend those that are but the sites seem a bit crowded together.
Ideally located on the shores of Lake Champlain, in a nice wooded area, thus providing easy access to the lake for boaters willing to install their own quays although there's a free boat ramp not too far from campground. It is mostly a seasonal trailer park place with full hookup, there are some cabins and spots for tents and the occasional visitor. Reservations recommended.
