The place was spotless and everything worked! The lake is right across the street for fishing. Lots of roads to travel and things to see in the area. Benezette isn't far and crawling with elk. Having a convenience store on site is a big plus.

Stopped in for drinks and snacks while riding my bicycle in the Elk State Forest. Air conditioning was very welcome on such a hot day. I saw they had a cooler full of tea, soda, and redbull. Snacks like chips and candy bars. Gas and some souvenirs like t-shirts. Perry's ice cream is also available. Friendly service, some benches under the shade make it a nice stop. Saw a lot of hunting and fishing pics hanging on the wall. If you get a trophy, stop in and let them know.

Was recommended to this place for the large cheap ice cream and we were not disappointed. The ice cream is Perry's and the had sixteen different flavors.

Very friendly people, cabins and bathrooms immaculate (and stocked with quality paper products), comfortable, quaint, conveniently located to park and trails, and very reasonably priced.

We have stayed here several times in the past and have generally had a positive experience. During our last reservation I was made aware of their stringent cancellation policy. We experienced a tragedy a week prior to our reservation. When I called to cancel I was told we would be charged for our entire stay and “ the added charge for using a credit card”. They did offer to say a prayer. With such a strict policy it would be helpful if they would offer an insurance in case of emergency cancellation. No one can predict when adversity will happen. Please consider offering cancellation insurance.
