Lakeview Inn

Really really bad place. We were 2 people and one medical service dog. After I have said how many we were and about the service dog, they in the first time didn't accepted the de documents that I have( doctor trainer etc) plus they asked me why. Then after I showed any kind of document and the dog too they give to us one bedroom with one single bed at the same price of a double room. Worst service ever. We left directly.

My partner and I arrived about 20min early with our small 6lb service dog. We were told the room we booked didn't allow animals. We were then told to show our our service dog and what her training is. The front desk person want to know what services she provides which is against ADA rules to ask. I simply replied she is trained to provide service for my partner. I was then told we would be getting a full size bedroom after I had booked the king. I asked the price and was told $80/night + taxes. I pointed out that we booked a king for less and after some deliberation we were given an ada king size room at the honored price. The next morning we discovered the toilet did not flush properly. After plunging it ourselves it still did not function properly and we had to ask for a plunger again. T

The people who work there were very nice.. the motel was very old! The room was clean pretty much the blanket had a cigarette burn it.. this was supposed to be non smoking.. the shower floor was even with the bathroom floor.. no border to keep the water in the shower.. the bathroom sink tilted forward slightly.. you couldn't set anything on it.. the lock on the bathroom didn't line up so you couldn't lock the door much less close it.. wall was patched above the TV! No phone only one night stand coffee maker had a packet that was a combo filter and coffee.. the felt like something out of a 50's movie.. lol this is not a 130.00 or anything close to that room! No we would not stay there again.. sorry.....

We reserved a King "Non-Smoking" room at the Lakeview Inn in Lucerne, CA on Monday, March 18, 2024.||Upon entering the promised room (#118), we smelled the strong stench of cigarette smoke and also found the floor sticky. When we then complained to the night attendant and requested a room change, we were told that promised room is supposed to be non-smoking and something about an elderly couple who stayed there the previous night with no issues. There was no apology given to us for this circumstance and inconvenience. We were then told that the only other type of room available at the property was a double queen room and we would have to pay an extra $23 + tax on top of the King Non-Smoking rate for that room.||We requested that any extra fee for the substitute room be waived given

This area is full of seedy, rundown motels. The whole area is depressed and you can’t do much with the lake due to smell and human hazards. Given that, I appreciated the room and the service, however….. my room had giant spider webs and spiders in every corner of the ceiling. The floor was filthy, swept but not likely mopped in awhile. Large gaps in doors made room very cold at night. Amenities included were tv, mini fridge, microwave. It didn’t smell bad and it’s definitely old and painted over many times, but I found it acceptable. If you want modern/nice, consider one of the casinos or The Regency.
