Lake Walcott Campground

Beautiful campground with walking trails along the lake. Very friendly and helpful staff and camp host, Michael. Water and electric hookups. Dump station available. Good T-Mobile cell coverage.

We stayed at a tent site while some other family members stayed at a different tent site and in a cabin. One thing that wasn't clear from the reservation was that you cannot drive up to your campsite and you cannot park at your campsite. Fortunately, a parking lot is pretty close to the campsites, but it was a little disappointing to have to pack in everything and then pack out everything after. Second, the campsites are not distinct areas. There are signs that denote your campsite number, but that's the extent of the boundaries. All the campsites were very close together where you could very easily hear people at other campsites. There were a couple bathrooms in easy walking distance to choose from. This beautiful park offers a lot of shade and plenty of activities. There’s ample seating, making it ideal for tent camping or RV spots with hooks. There are also walking, biking, and hiking trails. The park has clean bathrooms and showers.

Great campground with flushing bathrooms and clean showers. Lots of shade trees for tent campers. Kayak launch dock and boat launch are good. Lots of flies, but a great area! Adding this campground to my yearly stops.

Lake Walcott is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are stunning. I will definitely be going back to stay in their lovely cabins this summer.
