Lake Shetek Resort

Got a room at the hotel. Payed extra for lakeside room and looks like I payed extra for a room with a 2x2 window of the lake. Not worth the extra money. Got to room and the hallway was so full of dead bugs my wife was grossed out. The manager just walked through that hallway and just walked over all the bugs. Would have took 5 mins to vacuum up but I guess that was too much work. We payed 190 bucks for one night and didn’t even have tv the hole time. The staff down stairs at bar was great but the room was very disappointing.

This place is a total dump. Save your money do not stay here. It is dirty filled with bugs has a horribly musty smell, and the air conditioner is full of black mold.. To make matters worse, the restaurant bar that are next-door has the absolute worst food that I’ve ever experienced in my life.

Amazing Transformation – 5 Stars! Don’t mix this up with the old Lake Shetek Lodge—Lake Shetek Resort is completely renovated and under new ownership, and it’s incredible! The rooms are modern and beautifully updated, especially the spacious second-story suite we stayed in. It was absolutely stunning and roomy with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. The beach area has also been improved and is perfect for relaxing. Tons of space, gorgeous views, and a true five-star experience. We’ll definitely be back!

I was out here to visit with some friends and the grounds are absolutely beautiful peaceful and relaxing
