Lake Preston Motel

These guys rock! They were helpful and knowledgeable. The motel is clean and warm. No it doesn't have frills, but it's a place to sleep and shower, and it has smart TV's. I'd say the only con was the mattresses are not very comfortable. But that's a small detail.

I stay at this Motel every Summer and I love the beds. This is a small business and not part of a chain. It is under new ownership and I have yet to meet the new owners. If you want a comfortable bed, budget friendly room this is the place. Each room is decorated and furnished differently ; however, a mini fridge and microwave are available in the smaller rooms. There are larger room with kitchenettes. Great lakes to fish at just stop at the Bait shop right in the Parking lot and ask the cashier the locals will be happy to let you know where the fish are biting.

Do not let the outside appearance fool you, this is not your average Motel. The room was cozy, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Working Wi Fi, mini- fridge, microwave and a large selections of channels. The owners were very accommodating and kind. They are very informed about the hunting and fishing conditions in the area. Grills, bait shop, Grocery store in town and a charming Cafe with a variety of selections to choose from. I will definitely be back and recommend this Motel to my family and friends.

It is hard to write this review as they are so nice, but I feel the previous reviews are very misleading and I know this would have helped me and my goal is to simply help others as we stayed here because of the reviews. ||||First, the motel is VERY basic. Much like a cabin room you’d get at a church Bible camp. 4 beds means 4 cot/twin mattresses on a frame with one sheet, one blanket, and one pillow against a wall. (Not enough bedding for a winter stay). Remodeled appeared to be unfinished new laminate install where you see subfloor, and new paint? The kitchenette has a nice fridge, but stove and coffee pot are not usable as there not pots, silverware, or coffee/coffee cups. This style of room is fine, but should be advertised/priced as such. Nice older hotel geared towards fishermen/women at nearby lakes. Has cleaning room for fish, rooms are no frills but most are equipped with a shower bathroom (sink and toilet also 😳) a dorm fridge, microwave, bed/beds and a TV. Rooms ate heated and or air conditioned. Everytime we go, something is upgraded. Nice owners and facility manager
