Lake Monroe Village

Overnight stay en-route to another final destination. The staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful. Our site was a back in and due to the steep slope of the entry, had to crank the rig a bit but it was manageable. There are many long-term residents here and all sites were well maintained. We did not use any of the amenities as we are a self-contained RV, so unable to remark about those. The store has basic necessities and food items that are reasonably priced.

Lake Monroe Village has numerous positives. The location right outside of the state park and boat dock, lovely pool, pretty grounds, and pet friendly! ||The cozy cabins are indeed cozy! I loved all the games, the tiny kitchen, and cold air conditioning. ||On the downside, the shower was itty bitty and the hot water did not last for more than 3 minutes. In addition, I had to contort my body to rinse my hair as the shower head was very low. So moral of the story, either don’t plan on taking a shower or make it super quick! ||Overall a good pick if you plan to spend the weekend on the lake and just need a spot for you and your furry pals to spend|the night.

I was blown away by this resort. Didn't even know "campgrounds" this nice even existed. From the staff to the grounds and facilities to the awesome people. 5 stars isn't even enough. We'll be coming back for years to come.

This place is nice, well maintained, polite personnel, small store for last minute items and ice cream, would of given a 5 star, however, person using weed eater did a poor job, then, to make it worse, same person used a blower, which is a good idea, but blew clippings under motorhome, into rear rims and all over our Jeep, which had windows partially down, made a good mess inside. Would stay here again, just approach these issues.

Lovely location. But our RV site fire pit was rotted and full of trash, and all the way at the end of the road so it wasn't acceptable for fires. Unfriendly staff members, it was like they only care of the full time people and not visitors.
