Lake Mills Motel

This motel is great for all travelers. Each room has a different theme. It has that down home feeling. Barb who is an angel, runs the motel she is a Godsent. She is a woman who will make you feel safe and like one of the family. The rooms are very clean and plenty of covers for those cold nights. Very pet friendly. As a traveling nurse, I recommend staying here for traveling safely and close to the job. Again, Barb is an amazing person.

Stayed for 3 days at the Lake mills motel. I stayed in number 7 which is the Deer themed room. The room was clean and had a very comfortable King size bed. There is a good size fridge/freezer and a microwave. The manager Barb is very friendly and helpful. She has a great selection of breakfast foods and snacks available in the office. I would stay again anytime.

I stayed at the Lake Mills Motel over the night of Tuesday, 8 August 2017. This 8-room motel is 3 or 4 blocks north of State Highway 9. I'm not sure why TripAdvisor considers it to be "specialty lodging."||||I'd found the motel's website and reserved my room by phone in May with Barb, the owner. When I said that I might arrive after dark (a guess by me at that point), she said, "Since you're by yourself, room #7 with the one king bed is probably right. I'll leave the key in the door for you." She took my credit-card information.||||I arrived at around 6p, rather exhausted. Barb, who's very sweet, was just pulling in from a grocery trip and was expecting me. She said, "The key's in the door." Great accomodations Nice clean room. Polite. Only had couple issues. We got a call that our room was cancelled so we got a little irritate since we made reservations weeks before so we got room next to office and she was going to tell other person couldn't have room(good idea) and last night owners dogs were barking and pawing at door scaring our dog and them someone was making noise in office about 11:30pm so we couldn't sleep well. I have been coming year every year because of the great service from Barb. Everyone there treats me like family. The rooms are always very clean and she has made each room with a different wildlife theme. Great idea, Barb. The rates are reasonable and the beds are so comfortable. It feels like home.
