Needed to find a reasonable and peaceful fishing spot. This place did not disappoint.... Although I'm not sure there are any fish because I didn't catch any 😂 Plenty of parking, bank fishing and a dock to fish off of. Follow the directions upon entry at the little shack...you'll need $3 cash (current as of 2/2026) to fish and I believe it's the same to kayak/canoe. We did not try to access the bathrooms but we did drive by them (block building near the camp sites). Cleanliness was really good but did observe one pair of undies and one random sock on the bank shore.
Lobe this place nice fishing too just need someone to be appointed to ensure that it's being operated by someone , I would love to talk to whomever it concerns to get someone over it because it's alot of confusion since losing th ground keeper, whom still takes the calls and directs the people when they call him because his number is who last contact was and he is still trying to diect the visitor otherw ise the lake would be losing more visitors due to the issue at hand
We have camped here, played Frisbee golf, and enjoyed beautiful scenery of the lake. The bathrooms could use an upgrade but not terrible. This is a reservoir so they do not allow gas boat motors which make it a much cleaner environment and quiet. I have seen cranes, whitetail deer, I've caught bass and crappie here. Mine and my daughters favorite spot to be close to nature. Wish they had electric plug and water at each camp site. I would pay more for the amenities.
Very clean and quiet campground. Showers/toilets always very clean and cleaned daily. Would rate a 5 star if the lake was closer to the RV sites. Never could understand why tent campers get better spots than higher paying campers, but it is what it is I guess. The sites for RV are extremely close together but over all I would camp there again because it was so peaceful and has the friendliest staff and campers.
