Lake Hanska County Park Campground

This could be a very cool park but the bug problem (mosquito, noseeums, Asian beetles, flies, and more) is overwhelming. We are here in October, I can't imagine what this is like in the summer. The campground is about 30% full and no one is outside. There is a really nice beach and Lake Hanska is large and beautiful. The campsites are huge.The facilities are tired. Its not that the place is not cared for because clearly someone is doing a nice job with what they have. Finally, there is a plant that I think is drying corn? There is noise from this 24/7. I have no idea if that is unique to this time of year? Loved kayaking on the lake. Looks like there is good fishing too.

Can't wait for camping season to start! I'm really tired of all the snow and ice! Now it's raining like crazy and it's starting to flood! I love this camp ground 😍

This park has really awesome fishing, and to. Just wanted to get away this is the place.

Little small but the ranger is awesome and the tenting area is awesome too. I wont use the outhouse and go to the shower building instead. The outhouse is like spiderville. Needs some roundup or somethin! But otherwise ive absolutely loved this place the coupke times i went. We have now made it a spot we will return to annually and have already gone 2 times this year. Forwarning though, get something that gets rid of flies! The fireflies are numerous and gorgeous. But so are nippy corn flies and other flies. Was a bit of a nuisance wheb it comes to those otherwise it was a pretty nice and peaceful place
