Customer Reviews
I have been staying at this motel for over 20 plus years . I bowhunt very close and its nice when I dont wanna haul the camper up . The owners are absolutely wonderful and very courteous. Ots got the homey up north rustic type feeling. Has the amenities u would need and expect. The beds r clean and comfortable. It's in a great location for going sight seeing or exploring various great fishing lakes around the area. It's just a awesome getaway place to stay . Here's to another 20 plus years of staying there.
We needed to stop for the night on our way north. I can remember passing by this motel as far back as the late sixties on our yearly treks north. As luck would have it the Pines had one room left ( the large room #1, sleeps 6 with a full kitchen). The proprietor apologetically offered the rate when I told her we were just 2. The rate was still $30 to $40 less than anything in the larger nearby towns. ||Although the room had the look and feel of motels I had stayed in 30 to 40 years ago, it was very clean and roomy. We were able to have bit of dinner in the well equipped kitchen. Then had a good night sleep in the comfortable queen size bed. The only draw back was some road noise through the front window. Our unit is the closest to the hi way and the large single pane glass did not cu
This is a small, family owned motel that went above and beyond to help us out when our vehicle broke down and had to be repaired in a neighboring town. Melinda and Jeremy offered to drive us anywhere we needed to go and even brought us lunch and cake one afternoon. Clean rooms and easy check-in. They had no problem with us extending our stay when the vehicle repairs took longer than expected. Cute little town with very friendly people. We would definitely stay here again.
Doesn't look like much from the road, but once you pull in the driveway it turns into much more. The owner stayed up late to welcome me in and get me situated. The room was recently renovated by the owners and was super clean and comfortable. Anything that we had in any big chain hotel rooms, they had in mine at The Pines for1/3 to1/4 the cost (except foul odors or mold. We had that at our last stop. You can read my 1 star review of the "Dis-Comfort" Inn Suites in Amite, Louisiana). As for The Pines, super comfortable bed and soft towels and a clean hot shower. Also pet friendly with no surcharge. The *only* drawback is it being near an intersection right on the road. In the morning the truck traffic is a little loud, but I slept very well all night and didn't really notice until I had al
Highly recommended. We've stayed here before the remodeling and after. Wonderful, affordable, cute, quaint place. Cabin #1 great for longer stays with its kitchenette. Pet friendly.
