Lake Frances

Pretty cool campsite just off the main highway and right down from Kansas Rocks Offroad park. Camp grounds offer on site laundry ($3.25 total washer/ dryer), showers, toilets, small playground, grills, has tent sites, full pull throughs and more. Limited WiFi, and no cable hook up. Other than that the staff is welcoming and helpful. Would recommend (especially to anyone/ Jeepers looking for a place to stay while they hit the trails which is 6 mins away max)

We have stayed here two times: once in a cabin and once in our family camper. It is a fantastic place to get away; very quiet, laid back, easy to get, small playground for kids and great fishing! The cabin was clean and simple. Had a fantastic view of the lake. The camper spots had all of the hook ups and backed up to an open field. Our only wish was that the camper spots were paved.

This place is a GEM! We love it here. They have 30 and 50 amp hookups. The night sky is amazing. I plan on buying a telescope to view the stars. You will be able to view all the cluster of stars in the night sky. The people are lovely and respectful.

Just happened to stumble across this gem, sure glad we did. Owner had this property for 50 yrs and had an idea of what people might want to enjoy. He built a campground. Large property on the lake with 30+ campsites. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I'm workin in the Ft. Scott area and I'm stayin at Lake Frances in my camper. The first week I was there my wife went with me and helped me get setup. We walked down to the lake at sunset and got some beautiful pictures. The man that owns it and the folks that take care of the place are great and helpful people .
