Lake Effect Inn

This was a delightful surprise find late at night. I was traveling through and called about availability and the host was kind and cheery and gave me a map to follow to the end. I arrived at 10:30 PM and unfortunately, had to leave at 6 AM so I did not have the opportunity to fully enjoy all the beauty and details of this Lovely end. The host and I spent 15 minutes sharing life stories before I went to bed. When I travel through the UPS again next year, I will definitely be making a reservation to stay here and spend more time.

We do not do B&B's much but up in the UP of Michigan, it is a good option. This is a very inviting place in many ways. It is spacious with nice options for rooms, comfortable sitting areas, spacious breakfast room with windows looking over the deck and lake. Very neat and clean and all mechanicals is good working order. The owner was readily available for communication and quickly responsive. Breakfast was very adequate. I would look no further and consider the Lake Effect Inn a quality experience in all ways.

We stayed two nights at the Sa Wa Quato Inn and were not disappointed. We arrived before our scheduled arrival time; my husband was not feeling well and needed to lie down. Even though John and Mary were not home at the time, their maintenance person let us in, called Mary, and showed us to our room. Our room was very nice with a private bath. The Inn has recently been remodeled and is very comfortable. During our stay, we were invited to help ourselves to refreshments in the fridge in the common area and shared a bonfire in the backyard with John and other guests. John and Mary were both very friendly and hospitable; we would definitely stay here again. My only suggestion would be that offerings for breakfast could be better than "Make your own" coffee and packaged muffins.

Cute bed and breakfast in Upper MI. The house was beautiful inside and out and very clean. No TV in the room but spacious and comfortable bed. Tasha the owner was very friendly and helpful. She was prompt to answer, friendly and accommodating as well as a good baker! The banana bread was amazing!! We would definitely return again if in the area.

EXCELLENT home to stay in. Very good location and host was friendly and accommodating. Rooms are upstairs and guests have use of the downstairs, including the kitchen. Breakfast was yogurt, fruit and eggs that you can prepare for yourself. Definitely recommend!
