Lake Diane Retreat

We rented the Lake Diane Retreat lake house for a family vacation, which included 6 adults and 4 children ages 7 to 15. The house was very clean. It provided plenty of space for us to do things together, or be away from each other at times. The kitchen was stocked with everything you might need, way more than any other place we have rented in past years. The kids had many things to do; swimming on the beach, going down the water slide on the raft, using the indoor pool, kayaking (house came with 4 and we brought 2 of our own), paddle boating, table tennis, pool table, and many other things. We just got home a week ago. We had 8 adults and no children. Lake Diane is the perfect house for a relaxing vacation. It had everything we needed and more, even a cheese grater that we didn't know we needed till we needed it!! The inside pool was very nice & the game room in the garage had a pool table, basketball game, skee-ball game, fooseball game, ping-pong/table tennis table, it kept us 8 adults very occupied during our stay because of rain/cold weather. The beach/lake & gazebo area were our favorite place to hang out. The upper deck was perfect for morning coffee and watching the sun rise. We rented the pontoon from John and took it out to watch the sunset and it was beautiful. My only downfall was not going on the slide...maybe next time the weather will be nicer/hotter(w

This is our second year visiting Lake Diane Retreat. Our kids and grandkids were greatly looking forward to the week because we had such a good time last year. This year was just as wonderful for our family! Lake Diane is a beautiful lake to explore in the Retreat's very nice pontoon boat! It is an unusual lake as the shoreline creates numerous bays. The properties along the shore are well kept, and many have flowers or other sights to enjoy from the water. The Retreat Center itself is very nice (and roomy)! The decorations inside the house are perfect for lake living and very tasteful. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans, bowls, and all of the kitchen equipment noted online. We came to Lake Diane Retreat to celebrate my 70th birthday with our children and grandchildren. The house was spacious and clean. All 11 of us ages 4-72 could spread out into our own section of the house. We used the kayaks and canoe frequently, but we really enjoyed the pontoon boat we rented from John. All of us could fit on the boat and we took relaxing tours of the lake as well as fishing adventures. Our youngest grandchildren enjoyed playing in the sand on the beach and wading into the water. We enjoyed meals on the deck using the grill near the house and at the water's edge at the pavilion using the grill down there. We spent a week at Lake Diane for a family reunion. John really had thought of everything. The home was very comfortable. We loved the indoor pool and our daily kayaking adventures to different areas of the lake. We often spent afternoon down by the water at the pavilion talking and visiting with family while the kids fished off the dock. We definitely plan to return!
