LAKE BRONSON STATE PARK TWO RIVERS CAMPGROUND

We were on a mission to go camping in Northern MN over Fourth of July, with as little people and firework noise as possible & this was the place that delivered!!! The first campground close to the lake was packed full of people all on top of each other - but just a couple miles down the road into the park was Two Rivers. There is only a couple sites with electric, but we decided to choose one without it due to there being absolutely no neighbors. Somehow there were no bugs, firewood was dry, and even though we heard from the locals the firework show was definitely something to see - we barely heard them from where we were (which made for 2 very happy dogs). Revelation Brewing is only about 20 min away. We will definitely be back!

The facilities were well maintained, although some of the washrooms were closed. That us understandable, as there were very few people camping, especially in the Two Rivers Campground. If you like camping with few others around, this could be the place for you. The three stars rather than four us because the lake was unsuitable for swimming as it had an outbreak if toxic blue-green algae. It was fine for our kayaking. Once you got into the river a bit, then the algae disappeared (at least it seemed so). Also, be aware that work will start in repairing/rebuilding the dam in fall of 2024.
