Lake Benton Resort

First of all the people who worked here were extremely nice and it was a real nice location. However the cleaning people did not clean the room before we got here. Even after they cleaned there was a wet bathing suit and it was stained. The rooms smelled like wet cigarettes, the bathrooms were not well cleaned and the bed spread was stained. Overall the rooms did have good accommodation it was just not cleaned properly and overall disgusting

We've stayed at Becker's Resort several times for big family weekends. The place is nicely situated on Lake Benton. The layout is good, too, with a nice selection of rooms/roomettes, big picnic shelter, fire pit, playground and docks. This year the place seemed in need of better care. The main door and bathroom door in our unit stuck as did the door in the big 3 bedroom unit. The wall panel in our bathroom was bowed, the ceiling paint was chipped, there was a light out and a squished mosquito on the wall that wasn't cleaned up when they prepped the room for our arrival. The decor in all the rooms is comfortable but dated. That being said, it is a nice quiet place to gather. Except for our dead mosquito the place is fairly clean. It is certainly comfortable. I stayed here with a friend earlier in the year, and as the only hotel in Lake Benton, it was fine. However, on two separate occasions, the owner just walked into our room, without knocking, early in the morning. This was incredibly unprofessional and I couldn’t believe it happened twice. Again, as the only hotel in Lake Benton, options are slim, but be aware that you might have uninvited guests drop by whenever they want.

It's not bad for a three bedroom rental,but they could've did a little more dusting and vacuuming under the couch and moving the kitchen table to mop.

I have nothing but good things to say about this resort. Nice rooms, good food, great parking, beautiful view, fishing opportunities, wonderful people, on top of that, excellent pricing. Between my family and I, we stayed two months, and Randy, the owner, did everything he could to keep us there. It was a very pleasant experience in all aspects. If I am ever in the area again I will without a doubt stay in this resort. Highly recommend.
