Lago Mar Motel & Apartments

I stayed with my adult daughter for a decent period of time. I basically knew what to expect so no real surprises. Yes the owner can seem a bit gruff at first but a few kind words remedied that immediately. The cleaners could be more thorough and the amenities are few. The decor is very dated but overall if you don't mind doing a few things yourself, it's quite acceptable for the price.

Sheets, towels, and room was dirty with dirty marks even on the walls and smelled of greasy cooked food. The owner was kind and gave us fresh linens and towels. We had no choice but to stay because of no vacancy at other places. We ended up cleaning and disinfecting the unit. Bought a candle to help with the smell. A/C was cold, very loud in the bedroom. Thank goodness we brought our own blanket and a few extra pillows with our own pillow cases. Lots of transit people that stayed up all night both nights. Would not recommend.

We were looking for a place to stay for three nights to enjoy a local beach and didn't want to spend a lot of money to stay on the beach. We had stayed in Lake Worth a couple of years ago and enjoyed the restaurants and shops, so we looked for a place to stay the was close to the main downtown area and walkable to the beach. After reviewing many hotels in the area I decided to take a chance on Lago Mar. Not the best, not the worst. The location is the beat part of the deal as it is a block from Lantana’s downtown strip. Service sucks though. The rooms are OK, the kitchen has very limited pans and utensils so if you plan on cooking you will have a hard time

We were very pleased with our one bedroom apartment. The kitchen had enough pots, plates and utensils for us to cook two meals. The facility and our room were spotless. The bed could have been more comfortable but wasn’t bad. The courtyard was a great place to drink my morning coffee. You can’t beat it for the price.
