La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sarasota Downtown

Had a great stay during my trip to Sarasota. My room was clean and quiet (the two things most important to me) the bed was super comfortable and the room had everything I needed! Plenty of parking and a good breakfast, the staff is friendly and helpful. John even recommended a wonderful place to eat right up the street (the Wicked Cantina). I recommend it, too! I’ll be back!

We were told at check in that the elevator was out of order due to upgrades. We were not given a choice to get a room on the 1st floor. We had to use the stairs that were dirty. The room was not clean. Stains on wall and furniture. The bathroom needs upgrades and a new fan. The entrance/exit of the hotel had lots of potholes. We will never be back to this location.

This hotel is poorly maintained. The rooms and hallways are tired and outdated. Housekeeping cleans with very cheap cleaning solutions that leave a terrible smell. The stairways are rancid and appear to have never been cleaned. Although the location is convenient to the harbor and downtown Saradota, I will never stay here again and will think twice about staying at any Windham property.

Positive: Absolutely deplorable, and uninhabitable. Negative: They took payment for one night because I “checked in” even though I left an hour later due to a roach infestation, black mold in the bathroom and absolutely filthy furniture

We needed a room for two nights close to the airport and not far from downtown. It worked for what we needed. Front desk was very helpful and whoever makes the coffee knows exactly what to do. If you are looking for high end you need to spend more. It worked for what we needed and was convenient.
