La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Idaho Falls/Ammon

Love this place. We stay there every time we come to visit our grandchildren. Rooms are clean and well kept. The staff is awesome! for instance, we were rearranging our car before we left and my husband accidentally left behind some things. We got a call from the hotel asking us if we left anything behind. I said no because I didn't think we had but an hour later I went to get one of those items out of the back and when I couldn't find it I asked my husband and he said, "Oh, I left those items on a nearby pallat" I called the hotel back and said we did leave some items and I described them and when we arrived they were behind the counter, safe. Room was clean. Hotel interior and grounds ok. In general a descent hotel. Not sure about housekeeping staff. I saw a review posted one month ago by an individual complaining about the bathtub and room window. And what do you know? I got the exact room! What a coincidence! The issues HAVE NOT been fixed. The window has what appears to be paint drips or bad caulking that leaked. It's not bird poop. It's horrible looking. The bathtub anti slip mat STILL has that ugly stain on it! Why can't they remove it and replace the mat? Simple fix. The bathroom cabinet has a good size scratch on it. It's not a deal breaker but it makes you wonder what else has been overlooked. Definitely management does not read the reviews.

This hotel is clean and comfortable, and has been upgraded recently. The staff are friendly and helpful. We appreciated Millie’s friendliness and fast check-in. The rooms are nice and quiet; the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was good. There is ample parking; the hotel is about 5 miles off I-15.

Positive: I was greeted by a friendly person who was kind and helpful. Also, the hot beverages and cookies were a special treat after a long drive. Negative: I liked everything about this hotel.

The room was too hot with 20 degree weather outside. Ended up opening the window to cool it down. AC wouldn’t get it cool enough because the wall thermostat was limited to 65 (it wasn’t getting down to 65). Room also had several things which needed repair. Otherwise it was clean and functional. Breakfast was good with several hot options. The location was reason enough to stay here. Less than a mile from 30+ restaurants, the mall, and tons of other places to visit. I do recommend this hotel.
