La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ely

We were traveling with a large truck pulling a large trailer. Parking was great.||Staff was friendly. Room was clean.||Bed was a bit hard. I have certainly been on worse, but also better.||Was noisy. The doors slamming was a lot. Also could hear a lot of conversations. Really don’t think staff was concerned or could have done anything. It did quiet down about 10 pm. Heard a door at 5 am.||Maybe a sign on each door stating doors shut loudly. Please hold doors as they are shutting to be considerate of other guests. And have staff mention it at check in.||It is a very nice budget hotel and so won’t be perfect. Overall a very nice stay.

The place was all very clean and the breakfast room had huge windows facing the mountain and fresh flowers on the table. Buffet breakfast offered lots of variety and the attendant greeted us and kept the items stocked well. Our room was quiet and beds comfortable. Will stay there again.

Positive: "" Negative: There was not a whole lot of parking available. The toilet seat in the bathroom was falling off. The rooms were very outdated. I’m glad we were only there for a few hours to get some sleep.

Ive stayed at many La Quintas in the past and this is the best location Ive been to! The rooms and bathrooms looked new and clean, the ac/heat worked perfectly, and the breakfast area is very nice and spacious. The breakfast was great too: eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, bagels, muffins, toast, yogurt, fruit. I will 100% come back here to stay when we come back for the Great Basin!

I spent two separate nights here, one before Chrismas & one after at the beginning & end of a road trip to see family, Ely just happens to be at the "overnight stopping point" for our drive. We spent the first night in the "second building" & the second night in the original. On our first night, neither of our "key cards" worked for any of the exterior doors & we had to get help to enter & any extra trips to the car or elsewhere (breakfast) required some one to stay behind & open the building door as our keys did not work. For the most part, our room was acceptably clean. The breakfast included... well, it was pretty wiped out by 8am, waffle irons were hot but no batter, the bananas were mostly overripe & the sausage/egg hot choice were microwaved & just gross. Weak coffee & I passed
