⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (1 star) La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Brookshire This was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I would not recommend this property to anyone—especially a woman traveling alone. From the moment I entered the lobby, I did not feel safe. The environment was chaotic and uncomfortable, and I immediately asked the front desk if the hotel was safe for a woman traveling solo. The front desk attendant was obviously a man dressing as a woman. That was disturbing enough it itself. I was told I would be placed in a quieter, safer area away from the activity. Instead, I was assigned a first-floor room directly in the middle of the sketchy characters I was trying to avoid. When I entered the room, it was filthy. There was hair on the bedding, the sheets appeared

I stayed at LaQuinta Brookshire during a Christmas family visit, and found the staff so friendly and accommodating, that it added to my visit. I was traveling with my 14 year old Terrier, and they are set up to handle him, with a pet area to walk him and I was allowed to leave him in my room (as long he doesn’t bark, or disturb other guests) while dining out. What a life saver! |There is a nice pool area that I will enjoy this summer. Breakfast coffee was excellent, and early, with lots of choices to eat. |My room was well appointed and very clean. |I like the calm, uncluttered location. I felt safe. |I will be back.

Solid one night stay while in town for a wedding. The service was fine. My room was clean and spacious. A few scuffs and signs of wear, but nothing crazy. Had the free breakfast, used the WiFi. Location was 20 minutes from my destination. Overall, I had a comfortable stay, and I’d say it’s reliable for the price/value.

Overall experience was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was nice, how've the A/C - heating system had a smell & The bathroom sink didn't get warm so we had to use the tub for simple tasks.
