Hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts! The setting is beautiful in the mountains by a river, and they offer ziplines, tube rental and bike shuttles as well as an expansive, low key, peaceful campground. We were there off season, but still surprised how empty it was for such a great spot. There are RV sites under big old oaks with water and electric, and shady tent sites scattered all along the river. The bathroom/showers were clean and adequate, and there are clean porta-potties throughout the campground for convenience. Also has a dump station for RV. The people there are super nice and felt like old friends immediately. Campground rules are just the thoughtful basics to ensure everyone has a good time. But be aware there are no bottles or glass containers allowed and no pets, measures to m
The campsite is clean and the group site (2-D) location was perfectly secluded. The only concern was the fact that the trash cans and the porta potty were up the hill and it was hard for the elderly persons in our family (total of 21 members in the group) to access the porta potty without having someone drive them up the little hill. The bathrooms/showers have seen better days but there is hot water. These were not deal breakers for us, and despite the fact that it rained over the whole weekend, our family really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and we felt very safe at this campground.
We had a great spot at the bottom of the campsite which was very peaceful. We had bathrooms with showers available (with hot water!!!) near where we were camping. It's a family friendly site, so expect lots of family noise (laughing kids, happy relaxed adults, music) . It felt safe with park security making occasional rounds. We arrived on Thursday and it seemed like the best day to start a long weekend because we had a lot of choices for our campsite. There are grills and firepits at most every site and the river access was so so easy! If you have a rowdy family like mine, you'll love this place!
Ive been coming here to camp and ride my bike every weekend this year and I have to say the progress I've seen is remarkable. I highly recommend this place its amazing and its family friendly. I bring my 4 year old often and he loves it. Its not just a campground its a full blown adventure park. Camping, inner tubing, zip line, splash pad, mtb park, and water park. Give it a shot on your next camping adventure you won't be disappointed. Ask for Ricky, hes the man!
To be honest; I was kind of concerned while reading some of the single star reviews and here’s my honest unbiased review after spending a weekend there. If you are a super clean, organized, and by the book person; this campsite may not be for you. There are rules to the campgrounds but it’s very relaxed. Show up, find a spot to camp; literally anywhere. If you can park and pitch a tent; that’s a spot for you. I love the free spirited campgrounds that aren’t tied down by too many rules and regulations. We pitched a tent by the river and parked across the dirt road. We swam, we tubed down the river, and hiked. Lovely weekend. Staffs picked up trash from trash cans twice a day and cleaned the portal potty daily. It’s a camp ground for camping; it’s supposed to be different than what we have a
