From the moment we arrived, the Aloha spirit enveloped us, thanks to our incredible host, Bobi, whose warmth and genuine kindness made our stay unforgettable—we absolutely adored her! We originally booked one room but couldn’t bear to leave this serene oasis, so we extended our vacation and switched to a second room, allowing us to soak in even more of its magic. Such a beautiful property! My family and I have visited twice and both rooms were great. Everything we needed for a comfy stay was joyfully provided by Ms Bobbi! She provided attentive service while still giving us a private feel. I loved sitting outside drinking coffee early every morning, as the sun rose. Kohala Country Haven provided a much needed peaceful respite from a life of busy schedules. Bonus, we also loved walking down the road to the little food shops.

Aloha, I am happy to write a review for the Kohala Country Haven. I invited my family over after having had stayed there for a couple months. The small town of Kapaau feels safe and friendly, not rural and off-the-map. Bobi, the owner of the Haven, is very kind and makes sure she puts the guest’s needs first. The rooms are cleanly and comfortable but the view is really what is amazing! The view encompasses the Northern horizon of the Big Island with Maui in sight. The sunrises are spectacular and the drive is not too far for a phenomenal sunset. This place is a very special area on the Big Island with nature all-around and doesn’t have any deadly diseases carried by animals even in the wild. I recommend the Kohala Country Haven to anyone seeking a true Hawaiian get-away experience.

We had a great time visiting Kohala Country Haven. It felt like home; very relaxing, a serene view and nature all around us. The fresh air and ocean breeze made a perfect combination of healing and reflection. We were able to walk along the roadside that's safe and clean. The small hills contributed to our daily cardio work outs. We enjoyed feeding the animals, but not as much as our 11 year old daughter. The goats were friendly and loved the banana and papaya peels we fed them almost daily. There are coffee shops, restaurants, and stores, within walking distance. A wonderful family location to plan for, if you're looking. Thank you Aunty Bobby for a blessed time at Kohala Country Haven, a home away from home.
