Nice view of the beach. Many came to fish. This I'd the place to be if you're interested in seeing the sun set. Take this trail to the dam.

The knobstone trail is always tough but awesome. I have to be honest but I don’t want too many of you on this great trail. I like it being to myself and my pups. Lol

Started Deam Lake trailhead #1, did Dam section only, only one avoidable muddy spot, goes on 64 miles, been to every trailhead, maps available online, backpack camping permitted, where no houses visible 50 feet from trail, not in Parks. Northern point may stillness Starved Hollow State Park, & adjacent Fish hatchery, Lavonia tree nursury,, lots of wildlife & beautiful nature, some pick-up/ drop-off local ride services available online, too

Beware of chiggers at this time of the year in this trail. They are tiny and hardly visible with naked eyes, but their damage to skin and body alergic reaction is massive. They can find their way to your skin even if you have covered up head to toe. Aside from that, there are so many horse riders on the train. Not super friendly, especially if you are with a dog.

The most difficult trail in Indiana and much of the surrounding area. Lots of steep climbs along the 45 mile or more trail that ends at either Spurgeon Hollow or Delaney Creek Park to the north, and Deam Lake SRA at the southern end. There's also a way to hike all the way north to Martinsville along the Knobstone Escarpment, about 160 miles.
