Been coming here to fish steelhead for over 10 yrs. Amazing scenery and rustic, well kept cabins. Totally quiet except for river cascades. Great bbq area. Amazing in this day and age that such a place exists.

Don't expect 5 star comfort in this rustic lodge. However, if rustic is what you are after, this is just the spot. The grounds are simply outstanding. Huge green lawn above the Klamath River, complete with pool and gazebo. There is a very basic kitchen in the cabin, comfortable beds and a small bath. There is also a BBQ grill at the gazebo available to use. You should come fully prepared, as there is only 1 food store in Orleans and it is very expensive. There were no restaurants, so you really must bring your own food to this lodge||The lodge was tidy and comfortable, but don't expect TV or WiFi. If you stay here, be prepared to get back to basics:)

It's in the middle of nowhere - an old lodge/motel that doesn't look like much. But they have a residential Hoover suite that is a fun place to hang out for a few nights. Make sure to bring food and booze as there is nothing around there. Great fishing. The only bad thing is paper thin walls and you hear all conversations in the adjacent rooms. Oh well, it's what it is.

What a wonderful place. Cabins on the Klamath in a perfect setting. Staff are friendly and helpful. Cabins well equipped and thoughtfully prepared (extra towels, fresh flowers). The road to the place is pretty rustic -- be prepared with the right vehicle. And then don't leave! It is idyllic! Swimming pool and gas grill are nice extras. We would stay a week if we could.

We stayed at Klamath River Lodge for 2 relaxing and peaceful days in July 2005. The lodge is about 1 mile down a dirt graded road off of the main highway. Cabin 3, as pictured on the website, is rustic and has 3 comfortable single beds in an enclosed bedroom, a large dining/living room with Queen hideabed sofa and kitchen area, fully equipped, and a small bathroom with shower. The 3 lodges and a lodge apartment--the lodge itself is rented out for functions- slope down to the river, across which at dusk and dawn can be viewed the occasional eagle and brown bear. There is a small pool and lounge chairs, a large gas grill with all the cooking utensils, cabinets with a variety of games for children and badminton equipment, benches and table for outdoor dining, or you can cook-in at your
