Customer Reviews
This is a super cute restaurant in a small MD town in the middle of nowhere. We were on a road trip and pulled up google maps to see what was nearby and landed here. We were lucky to sit outside and enjoy the water views overlooking the marina. The food was good. We had a cheeseburger (excellent fried) and seared tuna - also good.
A last minute selection, our first time to Georgetown. A cozy little Inn. The room was great, spacious and comfortable. The view from Room #1’s deck is great, I look forward to returning in the Summer. The Tavern has a great, cozy vibe with good drinks and bar food. We did not eat at the restaurant so no observations there, but will definitely return for warmer weather as the view of the Sassafras River is excellent.
I stayed at the Kitty Knight Inn for one night on 12/26–27/2025 and had a very enjoyable experience. Even though there was no staff on-site for check‑in, everything was handled smoothly in advance. The combination locks for both the inn and the room made arrival easy and stress‑free. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and had a cute, rustic charm that fit the historic feel of the property. It was exactly what we needed for a quick getaway. The location was also a big plus — it’s very close to the Georgetown Yacht Marina, which was perfect for our plans and made getting around incredibly convenient. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay. I’d happily return.
Location is horrible. Traffic noise was so bad we didn't even stay the night. Luckily we live fairly close. There is no way we could sleep with all that noise. There needs to be a disclaimer on the website. I can't rate the service because we did not interact with anyone during our short time there. The room itself was very nice and comfortable. Although no heat in the bathroom. Not sure if the old radiators are used when it gets really cold. The electric heat in the main room put off a slightly toxic smell. There were no easily accessible power outlets, except in the bathroom. Had to move the night stand and found an extension cord to plug in my phone. An easy fix would be to buy lamps with built in outlets or add a power strip. Several light bulbs were out in the bathroom. Also lights o
We were looking for a night away but close to home and can’t believe this beautiful piece of history was right under our noses all this time. Our room had all of the modern amenities without losing the historic charm. Walked to dinner in the tavern without having to go out in the cold. The staff so welcoming and courteous. We will be back!
