Kiser Lake Campground & Marina

Beautiful sunsets over the lake. Spacious campsites. Beautiful grounds. Some spots for hammocks #46, 29, 62, 23, 24, and more. Great open spots near the lake. Pit toilets are gross (why I’m only giving 3 stars). Flies and mosquitoes buzzing around you while you’re trying to go to the restroom (though they aren’t a problem at your campsite). There’s no water to wash your hands. At 9:30 am two maintenance workers started up loud weed eaters going around the campground for two hours. You can’t sleep in, have a conversation or enjoy being in nature with the noise those machines make.

Nice little campground area and bait shop. They rent kayaks for $7/hr and small boats.

Very clean campground. No running water in bathrooms.Don't come for the bathroom amenities. Clean water available at dump station. Great lake and NO motors. Very good for kayaking or canoes. Nice trails but overgrown a bit.

It's a shame that I can't say this place is as great a way to spend a few days as it used to be. I remember have a great time here as a kid but it just hasn't been very well cared for. There's still plenty to do but atmosphere needs to be good too and simply isn't what it used to be.
