Kingman Wash Lake Mead National Recreation

You have to stop if you don’t you’re missing out. Keep on going to the river. Everything great happens at the river and you get to see the Hoover dam from my angle that nobody just about nobody will ever see you’re already walking and very rare ground. keep on going to the bottom there’s a couple places that they got some sharp drops. Remember, this is a fast moving wash when the rain starts coming and you can see huge mammoth folders moved out of the way and some even dangling on a coin, great place to go.

SO BEAUTIFUL!!! Stayed a week and each day as beautiful as the next. Besides the clear water, my favorite part was the wild donkeys that let you pet them!!!! Had restrooms, is FREE, and a must SEE!!

So the road was closed when we got there so what we did was just park in the first lot and hike down the wash to try to get to the river. The hike is VERY HARD and involves dangerous hiking down 8 foot drops and climbs up 75 degree angle slippery slopes. I would not recommend it to the most skilled hikers. That being said we did eventually get to the river and found a hot spring down there. We did not drive down the road so I cannot comment on that.

This is not Kingman wash, the access road to Kingman wash is on the other side of the 93. This is a parking/rest area with three trails. Two trails will lead to scenic lookout points, and one leads to the river. The road that is blocked off is the old 93 that leads to the dam!

Well, the area is very rough to camp on, and some road is closed there. However, if you want to cross off ARIZONA off your bucket list, without making a long drive, stop there for a few minutes, take some pictures, then head back to NV!
