Kingfisher Lodging

The motel is located in central Dennis, right near a bunch of boating and bike options. Staff was very friendly over the phone before we arrived and seemed happy to answer our questions. The rooms are self-checkin, and there's a nice amount of privacy. They're also dog-friendly, which is really nice. Docking a few stars because we had a couple of cleanliness issues that weren't fully resolved. Firstly, the "clean filter" light on the air conditioner was lit when we arrived. When we opened the AC, we found it was very dusty. When we asked the next morning if they could vacuum it, they said the light is always on even when they clean it, but they'll vacuum it. When we arrived that night, it was still dusty. (I ended up resetting the light myself just to confirm it could in fact be done.) T

We stayed at Kingfisher Lodge in Dennis for two night in July. We booked it as a last minute stay during prime travel to Cape Cod. As someone who vacationed to Dennis for 30+ years, I’ve always driven by it but never stayed. Thought we’d give it a try this time since it was available. ||It is a nice motel and felt the room was very clean. Bathroom looked to be remodeled and was very clean. Linens and towels were also very clean. We had a room with two full sized beds. AC unit was built into the wall and some might characterize it as loud but didn’t bother us. Although nice and clean, it’s important to remember it is still a motel - so don’t expect any extra frills. ||Communication and check in & out was all via text (which I prefer). My groomsmen and I stayed here in the apartment suite for my wedding weekend and it was a great experience. Clean and comfortable and pet friendly (with a dog run!) Garen at the front desk was really nice. My friends and I had a great time hanging out by the pool. Thank you!

The rooms are renovated and clean with small TV and mini fridge. There's a large ice machine, pool, free parking, and it's pet friendly. We stayed 2 nights and never saw a single employee. They provide keycode access to the rooms. No housekeeping visited our room. The wall AC unit was so loud and pumped out humid air. We wore earplugs/noise cancelling headphones to sleep. On night two, I considered sleeping in the car to get away from the AC noise. I gave it two stars because of the noise and no housekeeping.

I love this motel. It was very clean, has a pool area, is dog friendly and the staff are very nice and accommodating.
