Killgore's Historic Kirby Creek Lodge

What a fantastic trip into Hells Canyon!! The Lodge is a great location, updated and service is excellent! The lodge is warm and comfortable and the food is outstanding. The beds are very comfortable as well. It is heated by a wood burning stove in the family room and the oven/stove in the kitchen. The temperature was perfect being as it was only 25 degrees F outside. Now, let's talk about the outstanding meals we had for 3 days at the lodge. Casey is a fantastic chef, making Prime Rib with horseradish sauce, baked Potatoes and asparagus one night and Pork Lion (great flavor) with salad, green beans the other night. Full breakfast with pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs every morning. In addition to being the Chef, he takes care of everything from plumbing repair to Laundry for the gue

we had no idea where we were going on a trip for business, and from the moment we landed at the lodge the trip was unforgettable!! Casey and Jeremy were amazing!!!! they made us feel like we were family from day one!! Also Curtis and Max our guides on the river were amazing, they know the river like no other!!! I have fished with numerous guided trips in my years but they were open to our feedback and what we wanted to do!! Fishing was great and food was top notch!!! Casey is an amazing chef that could make it anywhere he wants but he choses the Kirby Creek Lodge and you can tell he truly cares !!! Five incredible days off-grid, deep in Hells Canyon on the Snake River the only way to get there is by boat, which makes it feel like your own private paradise. We spent our days jet boating up and down the river, fishing (we even caught two sturgeon!), jumping off rocks into the cool water, and just soaking up time with family and friends. Every moment was an adventure. The lodge itself is immaculate…clean, beautifully maintained, and fully stocked with everything we needed. And having a private chef made it feel like true luxury in the middle of nowhere. If you want a trip that combines adventure, nature, relaxation, and great memories, Kirby Creek Lodge is a must. I can’t wait to go back.
