Kettle River Campground

Really great campground with beautiful views. There is a ton of birding opportunities - so many birds, we thought it was a sanctuary! We also heard elk bugles in the morning. There is a nice rocky beach you can put kayaks in and play in the water as well. We went at the end of September and we were the only ones staying in the camp. The only downside was that the person across the river from sites 4-6 shine a bright spur light at the camp that flashes on and off all night. We think he does it to persuade campers from not staying there.

had an amazing three day stay here. no showers and no water so bring your own! there’s so many cool birds and we even got to see the aurora borealis on our first night, truly always something to look at. be mindful and prepared for a lot of bees though, that was the only drawback of the trip, but hey, it’s their home too

Pit toilet was cleaned daily but no sanitizer, no running water. Campsites were ok (lots of garbage in fire rings). Great spot to birdwatch

It was a very beautiful place, water was down real low, but very beautiful would love to camp there sometime.. just an update since I found out about all the turkey hunting over there and the fishing and how beautiful it is over there that I seen for my own two eyes it's a place I want to retire for the rest of my life.. it is just beautiful..
