Kauai Banyan Inn

We stayed in the Ali'i Suite at the Kauai Banyan Inn for seven nights. This spacious top-floor room has an awesome view of the valley below, stretching out to the ocean. Sunrise views were especially beautiful. The bed was very comfortable, and the neighborhood is quite peaceful. Our kind host Lorna had placed lovely orchids on our pillows for our arrival. We enjoyed the island breezes coming through the generous windows. Lorna supplied us with beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, beach towels and a cooler chest. She offered us helpful info about beaches and activities on Kauai. We enjoyed relaxing in our suite after our full days enjoying the island. We prepared breakfasts in the convenient kitchenette and visited nearby restaurants for dinners. We definitely plan to stay at this

The Ali'i room was so peaceful and spacious. We enjoyed views of the hills from the many windows, the night sky without light pollution, and the neighbors' many farm animals. The furniture goes well with the room. We came and went without the host bothering us or giving us a list of trivial rules with penalties. She just asks for the AC to be used reasonably, which we happily did to help her out. There's plenty of beach gear that you can freely borrow and return, along with stacks of fiction books and tourist guides. The snacks the host left were so helpful on our hikes. She provides lots of coffee in the room. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend the room. It was also very convenient to explore the south shore and Waimea Canyon from this inn. Beautiful tucked away spot, close to Kōloa and easy to get to southside beaches & Waimea Canyon. Amazing bird watching from your lanai in the morning as the huge banyan tree wakes up. We loved staying here!

How lucky am I that saw this hotel ontime! Lorna was gorgeuos. Every little detail of your vacation is settled - umbrellas, flashlights, any swimming or snorkling equipment - all that you only wish for :) Thanks alot! If we ever come back to Kauai - this will be our #1 option!

Lorna kindly let us check in early, and all we had to do was walk through the door.
