Katy Roundhouse

Great spot with easy access to the Katy Trail—you can hop right on and enjoy the ride. The sites are level gravel, and there’s a good mix of 30 and 50 amp hookups. I also liked the first-come, first-serve setup and simple self check-in process. Location is super convenient, close to both New Franklin and Boonville, which made exploring the area easy. The only drawback was the water quality. Unfortunately, the odor was so strong that we ended up relying on bottled water for cooking and brushing teeth. Overall, if you’re here for the Katy Trail and a solid RV stopover, it’s a very good choice—just plan ahead for your drinking water.

Perfect stop for my first time doing the entire Katy Trail. I ended the day after a grueling 77 miles and was thrilled to have a tidy and quiet campsite, clean bathroom/showers, and was warmly welcomed by the owner. All at a very reasonable price. Most notably, I felt very safe as a solo traveler at this site. It's obvious they care about their campsite and the experience of their guests. 10/10 recommend.

This campground needs some love, although the toilets seemed clean the bathrooms/showers were not. Rodent crap along with a sizable snake skin hanging from wall in shower! Wasp and Mud Dauber nests all over. |I did email the contact and they stated they would close the shower house that night and take care of it but to not worry the snake was surely gone and the wasps and mud daubers are harmless !|We decided to camp elsewhere!!!

Boy howdy! Let me tell you… during our 140+ mile ride on the Katy Trail, the Katy Roundhouse was a perfect camp spot for rest on night three and just what the doctor ordered. Hot showers and a nice bathroom was a great gift to our camping experience.

We needed a spot to camp for Mizzou Homecoming weekend and Katy Roundhouse had the last spot available in a 30 minute radius. The host was gracious and gave us detailed information on the campground. We were able to self check in and out. The host was flexible and helpful. It was a small, quiet campground on the Katy trail. The drive to New Franklin was pretty. We will definitely be back!
