Katahdin Valley Motel

When we go north to visit my family we grab a room at the motel, but this was our first stay since the change in ownership. The ability to check in using a code and not having to worry about what time we got in after check in time was convenient. The room was clean and amenities were decent. Adjusting the water temperature was a bit tricky and the only thing missing was a broom and dustpan 😊 We will definitely stay again!

Room was nice and clean. I didn't follow directions in my email and did it late but still received my room info in about 10 mins. Was perfectly situated for a place to stop on the drive back from Eagle Lake for work. Would definitely stay again. And would recommend for a place on snowmobile trails. Also 24hr c-store next door.

My wife and I have stayed at this motel many times over the years, and since the new ownership, things have improved incredibly. The owner has made many renovations and is now in the process of building a wrenching building specifically for snowmobile guests. How incredible is it to see an owner so invested in his customers? We highly recommend staying here, whether you’re a snowmobiler or visiting the area.

If your looking for luxury or frills this is not for you but if you want a clean, basic room this serves the purpose. Location was great for our trip. Booking reservation was super easy. Overall was a great experience!

I know it is new management- but let’s start with the basics- 1. get rid of the gross mattresses from 1989, I thought I was going to be stabbed with an spring coming through at any moment. 2. The plastic pillow covered are gross and need to go. 3. Let’s upgrade the gross typical Motel “comforter”. Between Amazon and Temu, it will not be expansive to upgrade 14 rooms. On top of the fact that it is a thin “spring” blanket and it is -5 outside! 4. I know you want to move to a “no contact check in process” however I emailed 2 times with zero response. There is no way to get in touch with anyone IF you do need something. 5. The rooms smell like an old motel, BUT they were actually clean. 6. The chairs at the table in room 12 were absolutely DISGUSTING and need to go into the dumpster. 7. We sta
