Jumping Jack Motel

Makes absolutely NO SENSE what so ever to have a big flashing NEON sign reading OPEN, then have a phone number to call for assistance posted on the door, when no one bothers to answer and it goes to voicemail. Only Motel in any direction for miles & miles for someone to safely rest and nope. No chance of that here at the Jumping Jack. Guess you have to check in by 5PM or they're in bed and you're on your own. Awful business practice.

Had an issue with our tire to which needed replacing. The one and only tire shop in that area stated it would be 2 days before they could get one in. They recomended Jumping Jack Motel as a place to stay until we could get back on the road again. The proprietor at Jumping Jack Motel was amicable enough though she at first booked us into a room that only had a double bed and the room looked like something from a skid row hotel. Old and run down, dark and oppressive, needing a whole bunch of TLC. I went back to the office and let her know that 2 people could not fit comfortably in that bed and she switched us to a much more updated room. One that appeared renovated. Not sure why she intially sent us to the skid row room being that the nicer one was available. Anyways the 2 nights stay there

We are having a fantastic time staying at the Jumping Jack Motel. I absolutely love the wood paneling and the bathroom floors reminiscent of my childhood. They do a great job with bright bed coverings and soft sheets. If Kim and the girls aren't there when you arrive, they will show up fast! I don't give one lick if the carpets have stains, the AC works, internet works, fridge and microwave works, water is so soft and it's a beautiful drive through Smoky Valley!

Nice owner, very cute from the outside, with picnic tables and many big trees. The room itself is very small but at least has updated fridge and tv, small but comfy beds with clean new sheets. Stained carpet, collapsible cheap table and damaged chair, mirror, nightstand and dresser as well as cobwebs above the toilet. But considering the area, glad to have a place to spend the night.

Great service, they were able to quickly help us out while traveling during an intense winter storm. Friendly people, everyone was very nice. Room was a bit dated but was safe from the crazy snow storm. Beautiful views.
