Juel Motel

I would stay at the Juel Motel over the Cattle King. The rooms are a bit bigger and definitely quieter. The staff is super friendly too. They just sold it to a new owner too. Hopefully they keep taking good care of the place. I'll stay here again.

Pros: Cheap, they allow pets, clean linens, nice people Cons: No A/C, really small rooms, no place to sit and eat a meal or do paperwork. My room did not have hot water even after running water for a long time. Sounds carry easily, I could hear the dog above me pacing back and forth for a very long time.

Wow. I live about an hour from Scobey in Canada and got to town several hours after the border closed so I couldn't get home. I was ready to sleep in my truck, but decided to check rates at the town's two motels. The first place was way too pricey, over $80 for a single. This place was $58, which I thought was outrageous for what I expected to be a roach motel. So I asked the friendly clerk to see the room and was promptly ashamed of myself for making such an assumption. The 'room' is actually a suite, with two bedrooms, a hall with a large closet, and a bathroom. There are a full size fridge, microwave, a proper desk, and a computer chair. The suite has been fully renovated except for the entrance door -- new carpet, newly painted, new beds (very comfy!), completely redone bathroom, etc.

We stayed in Scobey at the Juel Motel for 6 nights. It was a great place to stay. The rooms were very clean. Each bed had a separate room. The owners were helpful and friendly. Best of all the price was right.

We travel w a crew and the rooms are set up perfect.Each person had privacy.I highly recommended this place.We do like to give our money to the smaller motels instead of the bigger chains.
