Journey's End Lodge

We found this place while traveling in Kentucky. It is off the beaten path. GPS took us to wrong place so drove around an found it. It is an old hunting lodge. It has a pool. There are entrances to your room from inside an an outside door. Big rooms. Beds were ok. Would be ideal for family reunions. Or meeting with friends. We would stay here again.

We stayed at Journey's End Lodge on a trip to visit Morehead State over Parent's Weekend recently. Journey's End is tucked away in some very pretty country-side with gorgeous views. The rooms were very simple, yet had everything we needed. The cost to stay here is very inexpensive, so we were a bit nervous it would be some hole-in-the-wall hotel in the middle of nowhere. However, it was not...the rooms were clean, pleasant and well maintained. Could things be a bit more modern? Yes. But for the price, it was well worth our time to stay here. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and would drop anything if you needed something during your visit. Journey's End was located a good distance from larger towns, which for us was a small downside to staying here. However, for the

Several different family members and I stayed at Journeys End. We all had a great time. We enjoyed family time in the pool, the other guest, and petting the horses that live on the neighboring property. I was able to visit the Lodge just a few weeks after our departure and I cannot believe the improvements that were made in such a short time. We look forward to Patty's genuine hospitality. It is apparent that the new owners of the lodge are dedicated to the upkeep of this beautiful place. We all look forward to seeing you soon. Date of last visit July, 2015

This is truly an amazing place to stay. My husband and I were married here September 6th 2015. The owners keep this place just so very comfortable, would do anything for you at any time. They are really hands on. We had a beautiful wedding with about 100 guests. Several of our guests/family stayed at the lodge as well and they couldn't stop talking about it. We will be make this our anniversary spot for many years to come, Thanks Patty and Paul for all your hard work and for making us all feel like family!

This will be the fourth or fifth year that I have stayed at JournysEnd Lodge for the weekend. I was delighted when we found this hotel and will keep coming back as long as The same owners are running this hotel. They couldn’t have been more congenial. They put on campfires for us each night and anything we needed beyond the scope of what came with the room they provided. Each room came with a refrigerator and microwave, there’s an ice machine, gaming room, beautiful great room just to name a few. It’s a beautiful setting if you like the countryside that’s part of its charm.
