Jot's Resort

We went for the first time last weekend for a one-night stay. Everyone was friendly and welcoming the staff and the other guests. The outdoor areas were clean and nice. The hot tub was very large and kept nice and warm. The swimming pool is a little smaller but fine and the sauna was perfect. I think all the rooms have a River view. Pro tip, we would have liked to kept the blinds open but there is a huge light Illuminating the motel directly outside our room

We were skeptical about booking at Jots, due to mixed reviews. Reminder, if your skeptical, look elsewhere. |Our room had the most disgusting carpet I have ever seen. Stained and not recently vacuumed recently. The shower had pink gunk in the track and hair that was not ours. The door had been badly repaired from the lock being broken and door kicked in. If it had not been so late in the evening and there was vacancy elsewhere, we would have left.|DO NOT STAY HERE

Wonderful location right on the water so it's ideal for fishing in Gold Beach. Some of the rooms are updated, however the ones that are not are very old and run down. The resort in and of itself is quite run down and is obviously mostly visited by fishermen. Our biggest problem was that the rooms were very dirty. Our first room looked like it may have been wiped down a bit, but the bathroom, floor, and refrigerator were still so dirty we didn't feel comfortable staying. (Hair, smudges on mirrors, food residue in fridge, mud streaks on floor) We were moved to another room and it was still not very clean but was a bit more tolerable than the other one and it was late and we needed to sleep. We had a great room, nice balcony and a really nice view of the river, inlet and sunset. Absolutely couldn't beat the price. Pleasant staff. Overall probably best overall location on our trip and we stayed in way more expensive hotels. Loved our stay! No elevators that I saw but still worth the stay. Convenient to restaurants.

Positive: The beautiful location. Negative: Cleanliness of the carpet in the room.
