Customer Reviews
This is a small campground but very nice with beautiful views in all directions. Great with our three large dogs. We boondocked here for four nights with good weather and the stars were so bright in the dark skies. We were here in August around the 28th. Highly recommended. Nice and quiet. Primitive bathroom.
Beautiful grass land preserve in the center of grid like farmlands... Nice green shaded campground. Pit toilets, no trash. Quiet and peaceful. Bring your horses! $10 to camp or $5 with my America the Beautiful Pass!! 5 miles of good dirt road leading into the campground.
Beautiful surrounds. Well kept camp site with potable water and toilets , which are also wheelchair accessible. Walked a short trail after arriving. 1.5 miles in pristine grassland. Stunning really. Spacious campsite amoungst the trees (RV site, but not crowded.) The wind was blowing from Canada and it went to 45 degrees last night. I actually was plenty warm. Tonight is a different story. It's 50 for a high today, with a freeze warning in effect for overnight. Since I have Fargo friends, well I'm leaving a day early. 😊 It's a great place. Lots of birdsong, Baltimore Oriole, Whippoorwill, and even Turkey calls this morning. Quite a magical spot.
Very nice campground in the National Grasslands. Very clean. No fee at the moment I believe is due to the covid-19. Shady spots but solar friendly. Fresh potable water from hand pump. Two clean vault toilets. 4 mile walking trail that circles the campground. Mountain biking on said trails also. Many chipmunks running around for entertainment. Cows roaming outside fence line. Stayed 4 days and loved it.
If you didn't know you can disperse camp in a national grassland. Jorgens hollow is a campground and it's not very isolated but you do feel isolated when you're on property. The park ranger was fantastic very informative the bathrooms were amazingly clean.
