Customer Reviews
In March, I began researching lodging for a Mother/Daughter trip to Vermont in autumn. I knew I wanted to find a place that was centrally located for all of our travels and sights-seeing. Johnnycake Flats came up right in the heart of our points of interest. I called Debra to confirm availability, and immediately, I knew this would be a great place for my mom (who is not a traveler). Debra was kind and courteous as we discussed reservations and the best way to secure our lodging. Flash forward to July. My dog passes away, and my dad (who was going to keep him for the trip) decides he wants to come on our trip with us. Mom and I call Debra, and she was more than willing to work with us on the additional person. Two days before the trip, Debra emailed us to give us helpful reminders, temp
We were in Roxbury for my nephews wedding at Stickney Farms and were lucky to book the Johnnycake Flats Inn nearby. The Inn is so comfortable and inviting and Debra and Jim are perfect hosts. Debra has beautiful gardens on the grounds of the Inn.|I have Celiac disease and both mornings Debra cooked gluten-free food for me. It was delicious and much appreciated. They definitely go above and beyond for their guests.
Lovely and comfortable country home and setting. Hosts Debra and Jim were attentive but not hovering, wonderful people. Within a day of our stay, my husband and I were calling the place home. Plus, resident border collie Toby is a wonderful addition!
My husband, son, and daughter-in-law just spent a weekend at this beautiful inn. My husband and I arrived at the inn late on Friday night October 11 and met our son and daughter-in-law at the inn. We were pleased to be able to relax and catch up with our son and daughter-in-law in the inn’s cozy and inviting common room on Friday night after our arrival, made even more enjoyable by the warm fire that Jim built for us. We then enjoyed a blissful sleep in the inn’s very comfortable beds, which are loaded with beautiful pillows, blankets and quilts. Debra made delicious breakfasts for us each morning, which we enjoyed in a lovely dining room with beautiful views of the Vermont countryside. I enjoyed walking their beautiful property with their amazing border collie, Tobey, who was a well-trai
Debra and Jim have a beautiful home and are wonderful hosts. We will most certainly be looking here first next time we visit the area. A great spot for anyone looking for winter activities in the Mad River Valley. Hopefully next time we can book a snowshoe tour with Debra! Debra's breakfast and baked goods were the icing on the cake for what was already an amazing stay.
