NOT BIPOC FRIENDLY/ BIPOC SAFE. visited the red about a week ago from out of state and had a really awesome time, did some great climbing and hiking, however, i would not recommend this campground whatsoever. if we come back we will certainly not be staying here again. while checking in we saw this on their registration laptop in the little office towards the entrance of the campground, apologies for vulgarity i did cross some of it out. to so unabashedly have this visible at your business is shameless and disturbing and disgusting. we can read the room and we knew we were in the south obviously, but this isn't some remote area or way deep in a holler, it is a public campground in the gorge and this was really jarring to us. if we knew we wouldn't have stayed there. we are white folks but

After driving around searching for a campsite ( the state ones were all full) a local directed us to this hidden gem. It was quiet and had lots of room for our 6 kids to roam! Having a place to buy firewood on site was really nice too! There are port a potties and a water access. Overall it was a very nice campsite. The only downside for this place is that they charge per person ( even kids) per night. That added up quickly for us .

This campground is right next to Red River Adventure, and run by the same people. Take a look at the Red River Adventure reviews for additional info about their services (good stuff!).||||This campground is located inside Red River Gorge; right along the Red River. Very cool! It is a small campground with maybe 20 spots total. You can make a reservation, but you can't reserve specific spots; it's first-come, first-pick. On our weekend, it was not fully booked, so we had a lot of options to choose from. Most of the sites are flat and well-maintained. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring (wood is available for purchase onsite). Some of the smaller sites would only fit one car, but most will fit at least two vehicles. We had two vehicles and two 4-person tents on our site without any pr

Stopped by just to visit the river as there wasn't a good place to stop otherwise on the road. Owner thinks he owns the river, and yelled at us to get back in our vehicle because we didn't 'sign a waiver'. Sorry we wanted to stop and look, but also sorry you think you own the national park. Even the other patrons seemed disgusted by the behavior.

Current owners are really cool/sweet people. Location is pretty choice and they offer shuttle to kayak from there BACK to the campsite! Dog friendly, pretty laid back. The locked entrance at night was nice as well.
