Our hilltop cabin was exactly as described. The activities were appropriate for children. The grounds were very well kept and offered quite a bit of walking/play/picnic areas. The campsites are a bit small, but with all the activities there is little reason to hang around the site anyway! My g'daughter and I stayed during a halloween wknd. They had campground wide trick or treating. We, and many others, decorated our cabin/campsite. This was our 1st time at this location, but our 4th Jellystone stay. They are worth the money. The manager/owner is the perfect person for working with the public. She was very welcoming and always called me by name, even when outside the store/check-in area.
We came from Chicago area. We plan a Halloween camping trip every year with our 7 and 9 year old boys. The weather closer to home was going to be rainy so we planned this change of location just 24 hours prior. The reservation making was super easy. They allowed us to check in early so our kids could participate in the activities. They had lots of fun games and activities for all ages. My biggest complaint was that the high school aged staff members tried dominating the games themselves instead of letting the kids play, but they at least kept the kids from getting out of control. Lots of kids were running around without any parent, causing some problems on the playground with misbehaving kids, but that is a societal problem and not necessarily the campground’s fault. Overall, the bathrooms
I’ve meant to leave a review way before now, but we stayed here last summer and I cannot say enough about how hard the staff works. It was very family, friendly, and lots of activities to do. Our youngest son is special needs, and the staff went above and beyond to make his camping experience with Yogi and friends very special. I would highly recommend this place and we can’t wait to revisit.
We’ve been coming to Jellystone Park Indianapolis East for the past 4 years, visiting 2–3 times a year and always renting an RV. The owners and staff have truly become like a second family to us. We have an adult son with special needs, and they consistently go above and beyond to make his experience extra special. Their kindness and genuine care mean so much to us. The campground is family-owned, exceptionally well-run, and always spotless. The facilities are very clean, the gift shop is well-stocked with fun items, and there are endless activities to keep everyone entertained—including the always-popular bear visits! We highly recommend Jellystone Park Indianapolis East to anyone looking for a welcoming, family-friendly, and memorable camping experience. It truly is the best!
Was a great stay for the weekend with our 5 year old. He had a blast, and we had fun watching him enjoy his first ever camping trip. We stayed in the Wagon Rental for 2 nights. We loved it. The wagon was an interesting way to experience camping. My wife and I have camped many ways over the years from rustic to luxury. This was a new experience for us as well. Everything was great. The activities for the kids kept them entertained, and it was Dino weekend, so that had our sons interest. I would recommend future improvements to the bath houses. They are a bit cramped, and having to hold the water button in to give my son a shower was an adventure in itself. The pool could use more space as it was very crowded over the weekend. Plus, with no life guard, it was hard to keep order in the
