If you’re looking for a warm and friendly environment when you’re up in the Stratton area, you should definitely stay at the historic Jamaicahaus. Besides the beautiful house and the comfortable rooms, Benzi is the best hostess and proprietor. She is so welcoming, friendly, and has such an interesting life that you should definitely ask about. She always invites us to join her for meals or when she has friends gathering together. It truly is a home away from home. We will be back again!

We were warmly greeted by Benzi and other guests staying at Jamaicahaus when we finally arrived during the snowstorm. Benzi defines hospitality! Her positive energy spreads to all and we all felt like family. We stayed for 4 nights. The accommodations were spacious and clean and the fireplace stove -warm and inviting. The store across the street was convenient for picking up breakfast food to cook in the guest cooking area. The side road provided us with a well plowed road to get to the Stratton Ski area. Nearby were several tasty restaurants which were listed on the Jamaicahaus website for dinner. We look forward to another future stay.

We absolutely loved our time at Jamaicahaus and thank our lucky stars we found such a wonderful place to stay. It’s the most charming, warm and welcoming place (and hosts - thank you Benzi!) you could ever hope for. A quick drive to Stratton Mountain and only 30 minutes to Manchester and Hildene - the Lincoln family home). We felt so looked after and welcomed. They have not one, but two beautiful fireplaces that they have running - the perfect place to sit with tea/coffee and a book or have a cozy chat. We went with our 10 and 13 year old kids and they loved the room (#4 which was like an apartment, really - two bedrooms, bathroom and fridge/microwave and little living room. We are so thankful for Jamaicahaus! We have family in the area and have now stayed there several times. It has a lovely area to gather and the rooms are clean and inviting. The host is helpful and welcoming and now with a bakery on site there are often amazing breakfast treats available for purchase. Highly recommend this charming Inn for a stay in the Green Mt area!

We just spent two nights at the Jamaican Haus. We came to town to find the house we rented for Christmas, check out area for restaurants groceries etc. we wanted to get information on other activities that might interest the family and grandchildren. Well with the help of hostess Benzie everything accomplished right down to getting tree. We came home knowing we need to get moving making plans asap. Benzi was very warm and friendly and we loved the Austrian decor to the home,. The home was immaculate our bedroom and bathroom lovely. Caught some beautiful fall foliage before the rain. Nice little get away place to stay.
