Im hear a lot of great stuff about this place. Our children are going on a an expedition with the college class. Wondering if there is trailers that we can rent out for them instead of them staying in tents , they're taking. Also with the crisis at the border.Have there been any disruptions with the stay there?Anything that you would worry for your own children. Any information is appreciated so we can prepare them accordinglyʻ.
I parked my toy box trailer at Jacksons Hideaway for almost 20 years and enjoyed every bit of it. While I no longer have my trailer and toys, I still enjoy visiting the Jackson's and Ocotillo. Harlene and Bill (her son) are like family and they treat their residents that way. Bill manages the park and is a stickler for maintenance, cleanliness and following health and safety requirements. He is constantly looking for ways to improve the RV park. You won't find more generous people than the Jackson's. The park has an amazing location. There are plenty of places to walk your dog or take a hike. You won't find better weather anywhere from Halloween through about Memorial Day. If you have an off-road vehicle, you can ride to your heart's content on BLM property, just a couple blocks west. The
What a sweet lady. She welcomes us to her home. Washers and dryer are $1 / load. She gives me $3.50 in quarters for three dollar bills, "in case the machine takes your quarters." Free ice. Full hookup pull through for $25.00. Nice rec room and clean washroom. Sites are gravel and not perfectly level. Nothing fancy but for $25 this is five stars. WARNING, Google Maps will route you on an unimproved soft sand road that I was afraid I was going to get stuck. Take the frontage road.
We was on our way to San Diego for our son's graduation from the USMC and pulled in way after dark. The gentleman welcomed us and gave us a spot without hesitation. Very quiet and peaceful clean restrooms and shower I would not skip out on this little hideaway.
