Jackson Lake State Park Campground

We spent the weekend over there. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. Lots of space available, every spot had campfire pit and power outlet. We loved the spots near the lake. They only have no flush toilets and no shower, so be prepared. We did not realize that when we booked so we struggled a bit.

Newer infrastructure. Clean well kept vault toilets. Most of the parking spots are fairly level. Should be able to level a trailer in any of them. A couple are slopped a couple of degrees and might be challenging to level a motorhome. Space are decently spaced. Lots of green grass with a few trees. Some spots are more tent friendly than others. The park is not very big, feels like you are camping in a rural neighborhood. From any place in the park you can see several homes.

The proximity of the campground to Jackson Lake is a plus - you can walk from your campsite to the lake, which is nice. Kayaking on the lake was great! The downside to this campground is there are no flush toilets or showers, so if you are tent camping that is a real negative. Also if you are tent camping in a larger tent, many of the sites are not conducive to larger tents.

You can see the Milky Way 👍 Bortle Class 3 I'm used to Dayton where it's Class 7-8, super bright. Perfect for June and July 👌

Very nice. Swimming beach within walking distance. Playground. Plenty of shade. Saw a couple of dear walking through the camp grounds.
